3D-Design, Detail & Drafting

Complete drafting packages (shop drawings to final assembly) to ANSI 14.5 standards of mechanical, structural & civil projects. Standard delivery is in .pdf or .dwg format, other formats & hard-copies up to 24"x36" available upon request.

We create an acccurate 1:1 scaled 3D Solid Model, detailed to the level you specify, of any tangible object existing or dreamed of.  Models are used as the starting point for ensuring the overall design parameters are met, verifying fit-up & clearances, creating standard project drawings.  Solid Models also give your engineers exacting & detailed data for analysis, are easily imported into most rapid prototyping (3D Printing) systems or into CAM/CAE programs for fabrication or maybe exported into a graphic file format (jpeg, pdf, cdr, etc.) for presentations.

Starting from your initial idea, we work with you to define & detail your product, then create a 1:1 scale, true to shape & design intent 3D Solid Model which includes all parts, accessories & hardware that define the product.  Clearances, fit-up, range of motion or any other constraints are checked & discrepancies corrected.  Patent, engineering or presentation drawings, if applicable, are easily generated at this time - the 3D Model is also exportable to most CAE programs for analysis.  Next, a comprehensive Bill of Materials is created for pricing information.  Then, steps required for manufacturing are studied, the product is divided into sub-assemblies, weldments, materials with similar manufacturing requirements to determine the best approach for manufacturing your product - watching for unnecessary or redundant material handling, machine set-up or any other potential cost increases.  From there, 2D drawings are generated from the 3D Model & released to begin fabrication of your idea.
